We are seeking a DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY for a Long Term Acute Care hospital.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to expand your clinical and leadership skills in a small hospital setting. You will be responsible for: 1) Day to day operations of all pharmacy activities to ensure the department meets all legal and accreditation requirements. 2) Coordination of all department activities, operations and clinical services. 3) Supervision of personnel, development and work flow. 4) Preparation of the pharmacy budget. 5) Implementation of patient safety and clinical activities. 6) The promotion of cost containment programs. 7) Evaluation of drug therapy policies, protocols and procedures, and 8) Development of and participation in educational in-service programs.

Ability to, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, while managing stress appropriately. Make decisions under pressure, be able to proficiently demonstrate computer applications and handle multiple priorities.  Intermediate to advanced experience with computers and computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Staff Pharmacist, Acute Care Hospital

Are you a pharmacist with solid clinical skills and a desire to bring your ideas to an ever-changing hospital practice? Or are you bored, feeling stuck in retail and want to develop your hospital skills? We will train you, if you are the right candidate.

We are looking for a FULL-TIME CLINICAL STAFF PHARMACIST to practice in a brand new hospital. Duties include: supervising technician computer order-entry, providing dosing and therapeutic consults to physicians, and working closely with the nursing and hospital staff to provide support and education. Omnicell automation in patient care areas. Day shift only- 8 hours Monday through Friday and 6 hours Saturday through Sunday. The pharmacists rotate call and weekends.

Requirements: PharmD or BS in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy, an active pharmacist license in the state of practice an/or eligible for license transfer to Kentucky. Flemingsburg is only 60 minutes from Lexington and 90 minutes from Cincinnati.
